Toronto Dog Boarding

Vacations are so much more enjoyable when you don’t have to worry about your dog’s whereabouts!
Our home-style dog boarding is cage free, and full of the same comforts your dog is used to in your own home.
What can a dog walker do for you?
When staying with A Walk Apart, your dog will go on at least one group walk every day. Exercise and social interaction are as important as getting a good night’s sleep.
how do i get started?
Contact us through email or call to set up a free meet ‘n greet. We will do our best to answer any questions you have and tell you more about us and our services.
Please note that we require one night of trial board with all new boarding clients. This is to make sure your dog is comfortable and happy in our home before you book a longer stay. Please factor this in when determining how far in advance to book your dog’s stay with us.

Stress-Free Vacations
Boarding your dog while you are away doesn’t have to be a source of stress any more. No kennels, no cages, and no strange facility to worry about – your dog’s routine will remain as close to what they are used to as possible.
Since we are out in the parks walking our usual pack every day, your dog will join us and take part in our group walks, park outings and other fun activities we have planned for our own dogs.
Questions?

Where will my dog hang out?
Your dog will live in our home and take part in our daily life as one of our own.
We don’t normally have crates in our home, but if your dog is used to sleeping in his crate, feel free to send it over with your pup. We want your dog to feel as comfortable as he would in his own home.
What should I pack for my dog’s stay?
We ask that your dog come over with a supply of his regular food. We find that changing foods can cause indigestion and other problems that will at the very least make your dog’s stay uncomfortable.
If your dog is on a raw diet, no problem!
It’s also a good idea to pack something that brings comfort to your dog, such as as a blanket or old t-shirt that smells like home.
How will my dog get to your home?
You are welcome to come over for a scheduled visit.
Alternatively, we provide free pick-up and drop-off service if you live within our service area.
Can I call to find our how my dog is doing?
Absolutely! You can always reach us by phone or email while you are away.
Do you take puppies for dog boarding?
We do, after four months of age. We have dogs of our own and also board our regular clients, so your puppy will be exposed to a rich dog environment. For this reason, it’s best that your dog has had all his basic vaccinations.
